Voom-Aster Video
The Voom-Aster Video updates a classic toy with video capabilities.
This is a gag brought to life in the shell of an antique toy. The paper and celluloid reels are replaced by a CD-ROM drive and mini CDs storing digital video files; the battery pack and light bulb are replaced by a Raspberry Pi single-board computer and twin OLED displays. No external chassis modifications were made, except for a slight extension to the depth of the viewer to fit the new components. It works.
